ITS does not provide a computer buying or leasing program at this time. All computers are to be purchased through a computer vendor.
Choosing a computer involves many factors such as personal preference, budget, and needs. ITS cannot recommend one particular product over another. We do, however, provide useful links to help you in your decision-making for computers and other hardware.
Many manufacturers offer discounts to students. You are free to choose any brand you wish. ITS Help Desk will support any and all models that meet the minimum configurations for a computer system at UW-Platteville.
If you have questions while you are purchasing a computer, please contact the ITS Help Desk; we will be happy to help you through your computer purchase.
