Connecting a Roku to the UW-Platteville network to use Philo EDU
Guide to help you connect Roku to UW-Platteville network
Pick how you are connecting.

Register Roku device MAC address using NetReg. - Get MAC address of Roku (Select Settings/Network/About).
- Visit https://go.uwplatt.edu/unsecure-wifi-registration with a computer or tablet, login, and fill out the form.
- Connect Roku to the UWPlatt-unsecure wireless network.
- Once connected, a software update may occur.
| - Use a computer or tablet to register the Wireless router, if it has not already been registered.
- Select your wireless router’s network.
- Enter the wireless network password
- Once connected, a software update may occur.
| - Connect the Roku to a network jack using an Ethernet cable.
- If it is in Resnet, visit https://resnet.uwplatt.edu/cgi-bin/manual.cgi to register the device.
- To get the MAC address of Roku (Select Settings/Network/About).
- Power cycle the device.
- Once connected, a software update may occur.

Activate the Roku device (if not previously used) - Visit https://roku.com/link, and enter the activation code displayed on the Roku.
- Create a Roku account if one does not exist, or link to an existing Roku account.

Add the EDU version of the Philo channel to the Roku. |
