Equipment needed to watch Philo EDU
This will help you determine what equipment you will need to watch Philo EDU. Philo EDU television streaming service in the residence halls on the Platteville campus. You gain access to Philo EDU through a Roku device, mobile device (Play Store, App Store, or computer).
Philo EDU television streaming service in the residence halls on the Platteville campus. You gain access to Philo EDU through a Roku device, mobile device (Play Store, App Store, or Computer.) Watch Philo on your computer that is on campus and connected to the campus network at uwplatt.philo.com.
What Equipment do you need?
First, you must determine how you are going to view Philo:
- Phone, Computer, iPad, table, other
- Roku Wireless
- Roku Wired
- Roku TV
Phone, Computer, iPad, Tablet
You can watch on your device or connect to your TV. Determine what cable you may need to connect to your TV. Another option is to Screencast to your TV. (If capable)

First, you must register your Roku with UW-Platteville at https://go.uwplatt.edu/unsecure-wifi-registration

Wireless Roku and TV with USB input
Roku Wired
First, you must register your Roku with UW-Platteville at https://go.uwplatt.edu/unsecure-wifi-registration

Wired Roku and TV with HDMI port (the Wired Roku should come with all necessary wires)
Optional Equipment:
Router

Roku TVs can be connected wirelessly or wired. Please know what kind of device you have.
Equipment:
Roku TV
Data Cable may not be needed if connecting wirelessly. (10’-20’ cable)
