Office 365 - Outlook 2016 - Open a shared contact list associated with a shared mailbox

The Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016 desktop clients will natively recognize items that have been shared with you, such as mail folders, calendars, address books, and even fully delegated accounts.

If you have permissions to a shared mailbox, the shared contact list associated with the shared mailbox is automatically added to your My Contacts list.

  1. In Outlook 2016, select the People tab from the bottom toolbar.
  2. Under My Contacts, select the contacts folder for the shared contacts list.

See the linked PDF file for documentation with images: Outlook 2013 Open shared mbox contact list.pdf. While the linked document references Outlook 2013, the behavior and appearance of Outlook 2016 are similar.
