If I delete a voicemail file from my email Inbox, will the message be deleted from my phone?
Yes. Removing the audio file from your Inbox – whether you delete it or simply move it to another folder – automatically removes the message from your phone. You will still have access to the message in your email account until it is permanently deleted.
I don’t want voicemail messages in my email account. Can I turn it off?
You cannot turn this feature on and off yourself, but you can send a request to the ITS Help Desk at 608.342.1400 or email@example.com. Include your username and phone number.
Can voicemail be transcribed?
Transcription is not within the scope of this project; however, it may be possible for an additional cost down the road.
I monitor a phone line with someone else. Can voicemail be sent to more than one email address?
Voicemail can only be delivered to one email account at a time. Where possible, voicemail can be directed to a department email account instead of an individual’s.
Can I manage my voicemail remotely?
Yes. You may call into your office phone, use Jabber desktop client or app, or listen to your messages wherever you have access to your university email.
