Captivate 2019 - Getting Started
This document will walk through the basics of creating (or importing) a Captivate 2019 project. It will cover creating new projects, inserting new slides, and previewing the project. Lastly, this document will cover publishing the project to be uploaded to Canvas.
Captivate 2019 Project
Creating a New Project:
Creating a Project from PowerPoint:
2. Instead of selecting Blank Project (figure 1), select From PowerPoint
3. After selecting Create, select the file you'd like to open from the file browser (Figure 2).
Inserting New Slides
Quiz Slides:5. To insert quiz slides, follow the instructions above but select Question Slide.

Previewing Slides:6. Previewing slides or the project can be a helpful tool in seeing what the project will look like. To preview your current slide or entire project, click the Preview button (Figure 4) and select either Play Slide or Project.Figure 4
Publishing the Captivate Project7. The most common way to publish a project is for a learning management system. To do so, click the Publish button (Figure 5) and select Publish to Computer.Figure 58. 9. SCORM NOTE: If this presentation contains a graded quiz that sends data to the gradebook of an LMS, select the Zip Files check-box to ensure that the document functions correctly.
Figure 610. Clicking Publish will generate the Captivate project and save it to the selected location. Afterwards, you may preview the project by opening the "Index.html" file with any web browser (Firefox or Google Chrome recommended).
