Microsoft Office - Scanning and Creating Documentation

Use the following instructions to download Microsoft Office and scan/convert/sign documents into PDFs, images, or whiteboards.

Note: The following instructions utilizes IOS photos but is similar for Android personal devices.

Starting Out

1. Install the application by searching "Microsoft Office" within the App Store. 
2. Open the app.

Convert image to Document, Photo, or Whiteboard
1. Select the plus (+) sign at the bottom of the screen.

2. Select Lens.

3. Slide the options at the bottom for the desired document.

a. Select Document, take a picture, and then change the File Type by selecting the button. It can be converted to a PDF file, Word document, or image.

b. Select Photo, take a picture, and then change the File Type by selecting the button. It will automatically be converted to the type you select.
 
c. Select Whiteboard, take a picture, and select the File Type that is desired and it will be converted into a flatten white document that can be written on.

Convert image to Text/Table (Excel)
1. Select Actions in the bottom right corner. 
2. Select Image to Text or Image to Table. 

Sign and Scan a PDF
1. Select Actions in the bottom right corner.
2. Select Sign a PDF and/or Scan to PDF to add a signature to a PDF and scan pictures into a PDF.


Additional Features
  • Transfer Files: Share files between your phone and computer
  • Scan QR Code: Scan a QR code to open files or links
