UPDATE 10.17.16 @7:20 AM On Monday, Oct. 17, the Help Desk received numerous reports of phishing messages appearing to come from UW-Platteville accounts of "Zachary H Carpenter" and "Jonah M Gerrits". These messages are identical to the "upgrade your account" messages outlined below on 10.14.16. Subject is "Upgrade your account" or misspelled, "Upgarde your account".
- If you receive such a message from "Zachary H Carpenter", "Jonah M Gerrits""Haley E Koehn", "Jena M Hore", "Matthew C. Meyer" or "Kelsie K. Summers", please DELETE.
- There is no need to report emails from these six people. Thank you to all you have done so!
- If you receive such a message from any other sender, please REPORT to the ITS Help Desk at 608.342.1400 or helpdesk@uwplatt.edu.
- Include the URL when you forward the message to the Help Desk. Find the URL by hovering over the link (do not click it!).
- If you responded to such an email, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY and contact the ITS Help Desk at 608.342.1400 or helpdesk@uwplatt.edu.
UPDATE 10.16.16 approximate 9:00 a.m. - On Sunday morning, Oct. 16, the Help Desk has received numerous reports of phishing messages appearing to come from UW-Platteville account "Jena M Hore". This message is identical to the "upgrade your account" messages outlined below on 10.14.16. Subject is "Upgrade your account" or "This is an Email Service Alert".
UPDATE 10.15.16 - On Saturday morning, Oct. 15, Pioneers report receiving phishing messages appearing to come from UW-Platteville account "Matthew C. Meyer". This message is identical to the "upgrade your account" message outlined below on 10.14.16. Subject may be "This is an Email Service Alert".

The ITS Help Desk has received reports of a phishing message that claims your "mailbox has exceeds [sic] its storage limit". The message appears to come from UW-Platteville account "Kelsie K Summers". You are urged to "CLICK HERE to activate" more space.
