ITS Update: HRS outage affects PASS, BI, other campus systems

As reported previously by Human Resources, the UW System HRS system will be down beginning at noon on Wednesday, Feb. 22 and will continue until Monday, Feb. 27. In addition to the online time sheet, absence reporting, and other HR functionality already reported, numerous UW-Platteville systems will be affected by this outage.
HRS data are key to numerous system integrations on campus. Systems affected range from PASS and Business Intelligence to the online phone directory to the Passport Office and parking permits. Since HRS data will be refreshed during the night of February 27, the most up-to-date data will be available starting the morning of Tuesday, Feb.28.
The UW System upgrade outage will result in
- Inability to update or refresh employee information which will lead to “stale†reports data is refreshed
- Error messages when entering information
- New employees (during the time period) not appearing in resources like the phone directory and Passport Office
