ITS Maintenance: Extended maintenance to software management system may produce error messages June 2

Beginning at 7:00 a.m. on Friday, Jun. 2, ITS staff will be performing maintenance on SCCM, the management system that allows us to push software applications and updates to campus computers through Software Center. The maintenance is estimated to take 10 hours to complete. This solution will address the situation that inadvertently deployed Windows updates in recent weeks.

How will this maintenance affect me?

The SCCM maintenance should not impact your ability to do work.  However, if your computer "checks in" with SCCM during the day, you may receive an error message.  The message will likely include "0X" followed by other digits.  You do not need to do anything; simply close the message.

Also, Software Center may be affected when SCCM is rebooted.  If you attempt to install or uninstall software in Software Center, and it is not working, please exit Software Center, wait a few minutes, and try again.

NOTE: Due to the release of vendor updates and patches outside ITS control, any university system may experience brief intermittent outages.  Because these updates may be released any time it is not possible to include them all in this list.

REMINDER - Desire2Learn down June 14-15

D2L will be upgraded to a new version on June 14-15, 2017. This change will fix some known issues within D2L, but the look will not be affected. To accommodate the upgrade, D2L will not be available from 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 14 until 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 15.
