ITS Alert: Phishing attempts continue 01.25.18

The weather is ripe for phishing on campus today. There are currently two versions of the attack that started last evening, now involving at least 10 UW-Platteville accounts.

Pioneers should remember that ITS will NEVER ask for your password in an email - or through a link from an email. Never, ever. SERIOUSLY.  It's true.  Really.

What to do
  • If you receive such an email from any of the people listed above, please DELETE immediately.
  • If you receive such an email from another sender or uwplatt account, please NOTIFY the ITS Help Desk.
  • If you clicked on the link and logged in, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY and contact the ITS Help Desk.
