ITS Alert: Phishing attempt claims to be from Chancellor Shields 08.01.18

The ITS Help Desk has received reports of a phishing message claiming to be from Chancellor Shields with an email address of firstname.lastname@example.org. The message is titled "STAFFS AND EMPLOYEES STRATEGIC PLANS UPDATE" and contains a PDF with a link to "Microsoft PDF Reader". Clicking the link takes you to a login screen.
Pioneers should remember that ITS will NEVER ask for your password in an email - or through a link from an email. Never, ever. SERIOUSLY.
- If you receive such an email from "Chancellor Shields", please DELETE immediately.
- If you receive such an email from another sender or email address, please NOTIFY the ITS Help Desk.
- If you clicked on the link in the attachment, CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMMEDIATELY and contact the ITS Help Desk.
