Telecommunications-Configuring Windows Mobile Phone
Process for configuring and setting up your new Windows Mobile Phone.
- After ensuring that your new Windows Phone has an adequate amount of battery, turn on your device. Once your device has fully booted up, you should see the following welcome screen. On this screen, select the "get started" option as shown.
Option 1: Recommended Settings
If you are unsure of how you would like your phone configured, it is suggested that you start out with the recommended settings. These settings can be changed at a later time to better match your preferences. To learn more about what is being recommended for you, select the "Learn More" option.
If you choose to go with recommended settings, select the recommended button and continue your set up with step three.
Option 2: Customized Configuration
If you choose to customize your settings, you will be given a variety of options as to how you would like your phone configured. Click on any boxes that you would like to disable during set up. The following image displays some of the set up preferences you are able to change. Reword to "Uncheck any boxes that you would like to..."
- Once you have selected your phone settings, your mobile device will prompt you to configure your country, time zone, date and time. If you happen to enter any information incorrectly or need to change it after the installation has been completed, you may make alterations through your phone settings. Probably don't need, "Once you have selected your phone settings."
- Next, you will be prompted to login with a Microsoft Account. Once again, you have multiple options on how you would like to proceed. Probably don't need "Next" or "Once again". Reduces wordiness.
Option 1: You Already Have an Account
If you already have an account, select the sign in option. This will bring you to another screen where you may enter you account credentials.
Option 2: Create a New Account
If you do not have an account, this screen also allows you to create one.First sentence confusing. Makes it seem like there's a screenshot but there isn't. If you select the "create one" option, you will be brought to another screen in which you will need to enter some personal information for account set up.
Option 3: Sign in Later
Your final option is to select "sign in later". Once your phone has been configured, you will be able to sign in at a later time if you choose.
- Your mobile phone configuration is nearly complete. It just needs to finish setting up some of your applications. Select next, and you are done with configuring your new phone.
