Unified Communications - Cisco IP Phone Upgrade (Jan. 2017)
When a call is presented on a Cisco IP Phone a banner will pop-up on the phone with the callers information. At the bottom of the phone you will see three options: Answer, Decline, and Ignore.
On January 13, 2017 Cisco IP Phones were updated as part of an upgrade to the Unified Communications system. The following ITS KB Document highlights a noticeable change
Answer - Will answer the call. You can continue to answer the call by lifting the handset on your phone as well. This functionality remains unchanged.
Decline - Will decline the call and send the caller immediately to voice-mail. The functionality of the decline button remains unchanged.
Ignore - Closes the banner.
