Software - Transitioning from Windows Journal to OneNote

Instructions for transitioning from Windows Journal to OneNote.

1.  Press the Windows key and type "OneNote" into the search box.

2.  Click "OneNote" to open it.


3.  Go to "Notebooks -> Add Notebook."

4.  Click "This PC" and enter "exports" in the notebook name box.

5.  Click “Create Notebook.”

6.  Close "OneNote."

7.  Open your Journal document.


8.  Go to "File -> Print."


9.  Click "Send to OneNote16."


10.  Click "Print."

11.  Click the "New Section 1" in the "Exports" notebook you created earlier

12.  Check "Always send printouts to the selected location . . ." And click "OK."


13.  Your Journal file should appear as a page in the "New Section 1" tab.


To convert additional Journal files you only need to do steps 6 through 9 above.  The converted files are photos of the original Journal file and can not be edited.  It is possible to add text, drawings and photos over the original file to make changes.
