Adobe - Licensing Options (Summer 2019)

Beginning Summer 2019 Adobe has introduced a two-tier licensing model described below.

Named User Licensing - Adobe applications are managed based on individual users, giving the user the full functionality of the software and services.  Faculty and staff have access to all the available apps and services based on our organizations entitlements.

For all UW-Platteville faculty/staff, this is accomplished by synchronizing personnel information from Active Directory to Adobe.

Shared Device Licensing - Shared Device Licensing is a licensing method targeted at educational institutions where software is assigned to a device instead of an individual.  Anyone who logs onto the device will have access to the Adobe products installed on that computer.  This method is ideal for labs and classrooms where there is shared usage.

Installed software will vary between labs based on academic need.  If there are Adobe applications needed for a particular lab where it is not installed, a request can be emailed to helpdesk@uwplatt.edu.

If you have questions, please contact the ITS Help Desk at 608.342.1400 or helpdesk@uwplatt.edu.  You may also visit the Help Desk on the first floor of the Karrmann Library.
